Todos conocemos el Chevrolet Camaro, ese muscle car estadounidense que sin duda alguna le hace una gran competencia a Mustang y que año con año nos sorprende, pues este mismo a lo largo de sus años ha tenido un gran éxito tanto en mercado mexicano como estadounidense, sin embargo el día de hoy se encuentran en un problema en este segundo mercado.
Todo empezó en 2014 cuando todos aquellos frenos de un coche que contengan metales tóxicos y asbesto fueron prohibidos, por lo que recientemente se confirmó que para 2021 se prohibirán los frenos que contengan más del 5% de cobre, esto por una simple razón, esto es porque según dicen cada vez que frenas, este polvo que sacan las pastillas de los frenos llega a muchos ríos y océanos y sin duda este polvo es tóxico para muchos organismos marinos.
Es por ello que las versiones SS y ZL1 del Camaro serán prohibidas en los dos estados donde se aplicará esta restricción, en California y Washington, sin embargo la marca americana no se quedará con los brazos cruzados, sino que ya está trabajando arduamente en encontrar una solución a este problema.
Estas dos versiones seguirán disponibles en todos los estados menos en los dos ya mencionados, sin embargo Chevrolet ya afirmó que habrán nuevas versiones para 2022 y que esas si serán aceptadas en ambos estados.
