Hoy en día muchas marcas están intentando electrificar varios modelos de sus diferentes líneas o incluso eliminarlos para así sacar nuevos pero con un motor híbrido o eléctrico. Pero Mazda es diferente, la marca japonesa sacó ya hace un tiempo su primer modelo 100% eléctrico, este fue el Mazda MX-30 y fue hasta hoy que anunciaron algo que nadie esperaba, que este tendrá una versión mild-hybrid con un motor a gasolina. Con un motor de 2.0 litros con un sistema mild-hybrid de 24V para así generar hasta 148 caballos de fuerza. Hoy Mazda es una de las marcas más grandes y este fue un gran cambio, se cree que esto servirá para que llegue a regiones del mundo las cuales no están listas para tener vehículos eléctricos, por lo que es un tanto polémica esta decisión.
