Lamborghini ya planea el lanzamiento del Aventador 2022 para este mismo año, mismo del cual se dudaba la presencial del V12 de la marca italiana en el, ya que a causa de el límite de emisiones de CO2 para cada marca esto no sería posible.
Aún así ya se dijo que este portará el ya conocido V12 de Lamborghini de 6.5 litros, mismo que con un sistema de supercondensador llegaría a entregar unos 808 caballos de fuerza.
Sin embargo algo que Reggiani, jefe técnico la marca comentó es que este no solo llevaría un V12, sino de que este tendría un sistema híbrido, algo muy parecido al SF90, teniendo así un motor a gasolina para el eje trasero y un motor eléctrico adicional para darle potencia al eje delantero.
Algo que se ve posible, aunque complicado, ya que al añadirle un motor más Lamborghini tendría que compensar el peso del segundo motor y así no ver muy afectado el desempeño de este gran modelo.
